Johanna is a writer and director from Sweden, growing up in a large and noisy family, where you had to struggle hard to get heard. Johanna learned the fundamentals of filmmaking at Stockholm Film school and developed her film studies at the Stockholm University. After Johanna got really ill and had several injuries, which left her almost mute, Johanna used screenwriting as a tool to reclaim her voice again. She refined her screenwriting at Berghs school of Communication. After living through this against-all-odds story in her own life she developed a special eye for comedy and telling those stories we normally don’t get to hear. Today, Johanna believes strongly in the transforming power of comedy and that if you can make people laugh, you can change the game at any point.
"Now, more than anytime, the one who tells the stories runs the world"
